What's happening, chief? You're in the mix with Mr. Chris for a BADASS podcast of The Soul Brother Show - The Heavy Soul and Raw Funk! For the past several months, there has been a buzz in the indie film world about this documentary entitled A Band Called Death, highlighting the rock band Death formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1971. Featuring brothers Bobby (bass, vocals), Dannis (drums), and David Hackney (guitar), these cats were on the verge of breaking into the music scene with their hard rock-influenced vibes until a meeting with then Columbia Records president Clive Davis made them change their mind. With the resurgence of the band via their amazing album ... For the Whole World to See and the splendid documentary, it was only fitting to have brothers Bobby and Dannis Hackney with Bobbie Duncan (guitar) on this episode to talk about their career and what the future holds for these cats. As always, sit back, relax, and enjoy!
The Soul Brother Show is now available on iTunes and be sure to cop your free Android and iPhone apps so that no matter where you are in the world, you will always have Soul!
