The MPLS Funk Mix

I found myself recently digging through the crates and jamming along to the Time when I got the idea to drop The MPLS Funk Mix. Considering this is the 30th anniversary of Purple Rain as well as the classic album The Glamorous Life from Sheila E, I thought it was fitting to drop this purple podcast of The Soul Brother Show - The Home of Heavy Soul and Raw Funk on you cats and kittens. We got joints from Madhouse, Jesse Johnson, Wendy & Lisa, and the Girls to name a few. Break out the lace gloves, ruffle shirts, eyeliner and enjoy!

MPLS - Minneapolis

Prince - 2 Nigs United 4 West Compton

Madhouse - 6 (End of the World Mix)

Wendy & Lisa - Are You My Baby

Apollonia 6 - Some Kind of Lover

Vanity (w/Morris Day) - Mechanical Emotion

The Original 7ven - #Trendin

Alexander O'Neal - Fake

Jesse Johnson - Free World

Sheila E - Hold Me

The Family - Nothing Compares 2 U

Taja Sevelle - Love Is Contagious

Morris Day - Fishnet

The Time - I Don't Wanna Leave You

Brownmark - Shall We Dance

Mazarati - Player's Ball

This episode of The Soul Brother Show is dedicated to the loving memory of Mr. Aaron Dale Texas. I can still see you bobbing your head to "Raspberry Beret."

Militia Vox: The New Millennium Rock Goddess!

What I admire about Milita Vox is her honesty. She does not hold her tongue and she speaks her mind and that my friends, is rock and roll! When I got word that she was working on a new album several months ago, I got excited and I knew that I had to have my friend back on the show to talk about it. The name of the new project is entitled Bait and it's six tracks full of kick-ass music that is a must-have! On this podcast of The Soul Brother Show - The Home of Heavy Soul and Raw Funk, the lady I have coined the New Millennium Rock Goddess is no-holds-barred while kicking ass and taking lots of names! To add fuel to the fire, the playlist is all black women in rock! As always, sit back, relax, and enjoy!
