Something Real: A Salute to Omar

On this recent broadcast of The Soul Brother Show, I turned over control of the studio to Georgette a-k-a the Soul Sister who stepped to the mic to spin some of her favorite UK soul tracks. In honor of British soul legend Omar, Georgette also spins an entire hour of some of his classic tracks. It's a fantastic show and I sincerely hope you enjoy the sounds from across the pond.

Jill_Jones_Promo.jpg

What an honor it is bring to the listeners of The Soul Brother Show a very candid and thought-provoking conversation with Jill Jones. I have been an admirer of Jill's since the first time I saw her in Prince's "1999" music video. Fast forward two years and she melted my heart as a co-star in the classic film Purple Rain. Jill would go on to release 1987's Mia Bocca and have a role in the 1990 Prince-directed Graffiti Bridge. We talk about everything from Jill's background to her thoughts on Paisley Park. Since this is the month of Roctober, we have head bangin' tracklist of Prince classics to round out this fantastic broadcast!
